Resolution ofImages in ImageExpress d/b

Had an administrator lock on my 2000 system and had to reload windows 2000. required me to reload all software. no data lost. but. when i view images i reload into Image express, they are not sharp. seem to be missing a few pixels. look fine in microsoft photo editor. Is it possible I had my windows 2000 VGA display screen resolution set higher before (1024 x 768)? It is set to 800 x 640 now. I recall very clear images before when I used image express. Thanks for your input.

You were set at 256 colors. Changing Settings to 32 bit truecolor resolved the issue. Thanks.
