cannot add pictures

I have an imagebase that was created with an older version of the software. I now have v 1.2.9c. I have a total of 1821 images. I was inserting new images when my computer froze and I had to force a reboot. The imagebase is on an external hard drive. After restarting, I tried to move the photos over again. It wound up creating several duplicate files. I tried to delete some and then I started getting error messages. I eventually deleted all the duplicates and then "packed" the imagebase. Now when I try to insert a new image I get the message "imagekeep has generated errors and will be closed by windows. an error report is being generated." I cannot find this error report, and don't know what to do at this point. Please help!

Unfortunately, it sounds like the ImageBase was damaged somehow (probably when the computer froze).

If possible, I would suggest creating a new ImageBase and copying the images from the old ImageBase to the new. This is what I would suggest in the future as well if an ImageBase becomes damaged like this before you do anything else, especially anything that will write to the ImageBase and possibly make things worse. Backups are always a good idea as well.

As far as the "error report", that is generated by Windows to be sent to Microsoft and won't be of much help to us or Microsoft.
